Dr. Turner message - Hybrid Start February 1st
Dear CBPS Families,
We
are informing you of two decisions made during the Colonial Beach
School Board's regularly scheduled meeting held on December 16th. Due to
the current surge in COVID-19 cases locally, the school board modified
the Phased Re-entry Plan for students. CBPS will not begin its phased
re-entry for students until February 1st. Please stay tuned for an updated plan to be shared publicly during January.
Lastly,
the school board delayed the start of winter sports. During the first
two weeks of January, we will review local/regional data and hold
conversations with the Three Rivers Health District to determine if it
is safe to participate in winter sports. A decision will be made during
our January 13th school board meeting.
Both decisions were made out of an abundance of caution regarding the surge of COVID-19 cases locally and regionally.
