Mrs. Williams - High School Principal

Mrs. T. Williams

Dear Colonial Beach High School Families,

As the principal of Colonial Beach High School, I want to welcome you to the 2019- 2020 school year. What an exciting time to be a Drifter! The office and custodial staff have done an outstanding job of preparing the building for the return of students. Our media center and cafeteria have been updated as well as the landscaping around the building.

Along with the teachers and staff, I will continue to work hard to build relationships with students, parents, and community partners. This year our focus will be on the use of research based strategies in Math, promoting an environment that fosters a collaborative problem solving approach, continuing our work on establishing our school as a trauma informed school and fully incorporating the knowledge, skills, experiences and attributes that students must attain to be successful in college and/or the work force and to be “life ready “as outlined by the Virginia Department of Education’s Profile of a Graduate.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for over 20 years.  I received my undergraduate degree in education from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia.  My Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision was obtained at California Coast and my Master’s Degree in System and School Leadership at Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia.  Prior to becoming the principal of CBHS, I served as the Director of Student Services for Colonial Beach Public Schools.

I have an open door policy and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tricia C. Williams, M.Ed.
